Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 3 November 2026

Scope and commitment

Universidade Católica Portuguesa, through its Faculty of Law, is committed to improving access to the ESIL 2027 website for people with disabilities. We want visitors to be able to read conference information, submit an abstract and access their submission with as few barriers as possible.

This statement covers https://esil2027.com/ during the Call for Papers phase, including its information pages, submission forms, submission review and status pages, access links and downloadable Call for Papers materials.

Accessibility target and current status

Our accessibility target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. WCAG provides requirements for making web content more accessible to people with different disabilities.

Current assessment status: Not assessed. A completed accessibility evaluation is not available to support this statement. We are therefore not currently making a claim that the website fully or partially conforms to WCAG 2.2, Level AA.

Assessment and improvement

We plan to assess the main Call for Papers journeys, including navigation, form completion, email verification, reviewing information, submitting an abstract and returning to an existing submission. The planned review includes keyboard operation, visible focus, headings and labels, colour contrast, text enlargement, error messages and use with assistive technology.

These checks are planned work. Completed results, the browser and assistive technology combinations tested, and any identified barriers will be recorded when the evaluation is available.

Known limitations and downloadable documents

A verified list of accessibility limitations is not yet available. This does not mean that every page or action is accessible. If you encounter a barrier, please use the contact details below so that we can understand the problem and discuss an alternative way to access the information or complete the action.

The accessibility of the downloadable Call for Papers PDF has not yet been verified for this statement. If you cannot use that document, you can request its information in an alternative format through the contact below.

Feedback and access support

Please email info@esil2027.com with the subject “Website accessibility” if you have difficulty using the website or need information in an alternative format. Include the page address, the task you were trying to complete and a brief description of the difficulty. If useful, you may also tell us which browser or assistive technology you use.

You do not need to provide a diagnosis or detailed medical information to describe a website accessibility barrier. Please avoid including passwords, personal access links or unrelated sensitive information in your message.

We will review your request and discuss a practical way to help you access the relevant information or service. If a submission deadline is approaching, please mention it in your message. This does not automatically extend the deadline or replace the published submission requirements.
